Updates Coming SOON....

Well as it appears as it's going on almost two months since I've posted on here I thought I better to let everyone know I'm still alive.  A lot has happend since the last post, multiple purchases/added style, the holidays of course which I was able to snag some sweet specialty items and also some staple clothing, and the big thing I haven't written about was my trip to NYC. I'll post some pictures later of the trip and snags...I'm here just haven't been good at all about posting and updating.  Talk soon....

Chicago...wedding...shopping...quality time.

This past weekend, my wife and I headed up to Chi-town for my best friend Brian's wedding.  Hadn't ever been to the suburbs before...it felt like every mile I drove I was in a different city, which half the time was correct...Wedding went well and the day after the wedding we decided to do some shopping (of course), although mom and dad zeller tagged along this time.

Unfortunately I've had to hold back since good old St. Nick is coming up...have to give my wife some things to stick under that tree.  So I picked up this shirt and cords at the B&M store.

Heathered cotton twisted rib crewneck tee

Vintage cord in straight fit

My temptation gave in on this next purchase though, I had been eyeing this shirt for the past month or two and when it went on sale plus 20% off and free shipping I splurged.  Only problem was it wasn't online so I had my PS find it for me.  Just got it in the mail the other day and the thickness and quality is def worth more than the traditional J. Crew shirt.

Covert twill utility shirt

So after going nuts and splurging on those three items I decided to and "save" some money.  Two new fav stores are H&M thanks to my wife and Lands End/Lands End Canvas.  The vest here I picked up from LE for $15....yes I said that right $15...not bad for some fall wear, and to this point it's got great use out of it.  This was in their overstock section.

I think should tide me over for now.....

Wardrobe revamp....

Just a couple of things I picked up since my workwear was lacking...
End-on-end point-collar regular-fit dress shirt

Point-collar regular-fit dress shirt in navy

Downtown wool tie

Cotton Irwin tartan tie

Both shirts and ties are courtesy of the Crew.

This next pickup was a nice surprise.  I had been looking for a silk knit tie for some time but wanted the 2 3/4" width, which was proving hard to find.  Then when Lands End Canvas (LEC) rolled out their fall line I was ecstatic to see that they had one.  And thanks to Alexis from J. Crew Aficionada as well as  Lands End, I had a $50 gift card burning a hole in my pocket!!!  Sooooooo of course I picked this one up.  Very satisfied with the quality except for the maybe excessive stitching down the middle of the tie from the back.  It's a bit thick compared to the rest of the tie.  Hopefully LE will make a few adjustments to that.

cider...fires....and desert boots

Can you really say a whole lot of negative about fall?  Hot apple cider, bon fires, smores, loads of color.  Sure I hate the temp change but you know what that means...layers!!!  Now that summer has come and gone the polos have lost their desire for me and I'm ready to make the transition over to my long sleeves, and to officially break in my Clarks Desert boots....kindly purchased as a gift last Christmas by my mother I didn't get to give them the rightful break-in that fall can provide.

It's also that time of year where my wife goes through her department store of clothes and switches them out....the sad truth is my department store is catching hers.  Recently I discovered my work wardrobe needed an update so I thought to my self, there's my excuse...now on to the merchandise....J.crew dress shirts, new ties, and a baracuta...

Throughout the blog you'll soon find that my personality is expressed through my clothes and my desire to find what I want but for the better deal, my wife would argue otherwise but at the end of the day she can't deny she likes what I wear.

So kind of a random first post but looks like the blog has begun her maiden voyage...hope you enjoy.

I'll update later with my steals for fall...
